Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate
Starting Spring 2008, The Trent Lott National Center will be offering a certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which will consist of three intense courses focused on managing creative teams, innovation strategy, and implementing entrepreneurship.
Courses are in executive format, which mix online evening classes with three in-person classes Thurs-Sat. Participants will have the option to receive 9 credits from USM.

Participants will be able to answer the following questions:
- How can I get money?
- How do I form a business?
- How do I find customers?
- When should I patent my idea?
- What is innovation, and why is it important to me?
- How can I reduce risk of new product development?
- What levels of operation exist for business strategy?
- How do can I move my idea from concept to market?
- Who is the audience of a business plan, and what do they want to know?
- What government restrictions might one need to consider?
